What a fantastic and informative tour! The staff explained the history of cocoa in Maya culture and let us taste a cocoa bean straight from the fruit. We roasted it, ground it, and made a delicious drink. It was quite bitter, but in my opinion, it tasted great. If you prefer it sweeter, they also provide honey.
