Very nice conversion and extension! We were sad when they were closed during the pandemic. Apparently they took this time for a great transformation and expansion. So fresh and so clean. Now they also have covered outdoor seating. Eating is great as always. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Pho Kim Long:
We took a break from car shopping to recharge with some pho, and were pumped to see this highly rated spot close by. When it came out, it looked awesome (see pics), especially since it came with the little dish of chili sauce and shrimp paste. Unfortunately, the taste didn't live up to the presentation. The bun bo hue was okay, but not anything special, and the bun rieu was too sweet and tomato-ey, with oddly fluffy... View all feedback.
I used to go to Pho Kim Long almost weekly, sometimes 2 3 times per week, since their phos and many other dishes were not only tasty but also best bang for my buck!During COVID lockdowns, I tried to stay away from crowded public places as much as possible, so it's been 3 years since I last visited. Well, a lot have changed. First, they have made drastic renovations, the restaurant's got a more upscale feel to it. Second, they also permit al fresco dining with several tables outside. However, despite all these changes, I felt the phos weren't as good as they used to be. The broth used to be so flavorful, but today my order #1 (their flagship pho, pretty much everything included) the broth was very bland. Perhaps, the biggest difference between now and then is: no longer do you find the condiments on the tabletop, no more Sriracha and Hoisin Sauce bottles. These dipping sauces now come with your pho in a tiny plastic cup. Eating phos without Sriracha, especially with the broth becoming almost tasteless, it really changed my view on this restaurant remember I used to be one of their most loyal customers, coming nearly every other day.Not everything was bad, I must say the only positive experience was one of the servers was really courteous and great smiles. My 3 stars, 2 are because of her. In the past, you don't expect customer service from the employees of Kim Long, nobody ever smiles it seems, thank God this server alone is worth me going occasionally.Parking: This is a busy restaurant especially during lunch dinner time, be ready to circle around a few times, hopefully you find someone leaving after their meals.
Decent amount of food for the price! The noodle soups are what one would expect at a Vietnamese pho spot. Service could be quicker, but the place also gets pretty packed.Don't ever get the coffee with condensed milk. You'll get all sorts of diabetes after drinking that.
This place was rated highly as best pho in San Jose so we got to try. We got beef pho and chicken vermicelli thought they were good, not exceptional. The broth was good but super salty. Portions are huge though and that justified the price they really load up on the noodles especially. We saw lots of tables that were waiting to be cleaned with good amount of food left uneaten
Amazing dinner and wonderful service! Family dinner and everyone enjoyed their dinner and the service. A great place to take children too! Plenty of parking and handicapped entrance.
I had pho with chicken #23). I got the regular size. Food was delicious and served quickly. The restaurant was quite full at that time.Pho had lots of chicken and shrimp. The food was very generous.Keep in mind that if you check out, you can only split the bill into two.If you are in the Milpitas/ San Jose area near Great Mall) check this place out. Note that the parking lot can be quite full.Parking: Parking lot was nearly full at noon. Parking lot is shared with other small businesses. Parking spots are diagonal and appear to be narrow.
