On my most recent visit, I tried a soursop mojito from Caneca, which, despite its strange greyish appearance, was incredibly delicious, capturing the typical taste of soursop juice. My husband opted for a passionfruit drink from another kiosk, which he found to be equally delicious, though he was not interested in sharing mine. I indulged in a superb vegan arepa from Budare, a Venezuelan-style version filled with delectable ingredients. My sister tried the vegan mofongo from El Cuchifrito, a traditional Puerto Rican dish made of seasoned mashed green plantains, which she also found to be excellent. As someone who rarely finds mofongo on the US west coast, I always make sure to enjoy it while in Puerto Rico, and El Cuchifrito's version is among my favorites.
This restaurant is fantastic. The food is amazing! The ambiance and the service are excellent. I will definitely come back to try the chicken sandwich or BBQ chicken sandwich with bacon and Cheddar cheese. The ice cream was also delicious!
A diverse menu and a relaxed atmosphere. They have music playing, a baseball game on a big screen, and even had a puppy festival one day. It's a great place to visit. They accept credit cards at most locations. They offer vegan options and a tasty pork sandwich served out of an airstream. They also have craft and local beers, as well as chic cocktails.
Located on one of the main streets in San Juan, this restaurant offers a variety of creative and lively dishes and drink options. I visited in March 2020 and December 2021, and both times there were multiple vegan options available. The outdoor seating area with picnic tables made for a pleasant dining experience, and our COVID vaccine cards were checked before entering. During my last visit, I enjoyed a deliciously acidic mojito from Caneca, while my husband opted for a passion fruit drink that he found equally delicious. I tried a sublime vegan arepa from Budare, a Venezuelan style arepa filled with delicious ingredients. My sister ordered the vegan mofongo from El Cuchifrito, a traditional Puerto Rican dish, and found it to be excellent. Overall, the experience was fantastic and I look forward to visiting again in the future.
Really awesome outdoor area with lots of food options.
