I love this place! No need to mention how delicious the food is. The most authentic Taiwanese food and snacks. Strongly recommend fried tofu, grilled chicken and egg drop soup. The sweet tea is terrific! The owners treats every dish with the most enthusiasm and they are so kind and friendly. Make me feel like at home. What Karen Quach doesn't like about Taiwan Bowl:
After a full day of tubing, my friends and I stopped by this Taiwanese restaurant. In a group of 9 people on Sunday ~5pm, we were able to be seated right away, the restaurant was not very busy. We ordered an assortment of dishes to share family-style, based on their suggestions and our preferences. Overall, the food was very average in my opinion. The workers were extremely friendly and kept checking in to see how th... View all feedback.

Best food ever! I am not a local guide, just a normal person, when I walked into this small, hospitable, family style restaurant, it made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Obviously, the food is very different than others, tasting good is only a fundamental thing here, I can feel love flourished among the food. And the owner is the best, she cares about everyone, she can satisfy any fantasy you may have about food. To sum it up in one sentence, this restaurant is probably the best Taiwanese restaurant you can find in the United States.
This place was such a little gem hidden in a tiny strip with an equally tiny parking lot. Family owned, the woman who runs the kitchen was such a sweetheart, she was so happy to see us walk in and even came over to our table at one point to chat us up and thank us for coming in. You can tell that she really loves running her own little restaurant and cooking good food for her customers. Anyway, onto the food!! I got the Grilled Pork w/ Rice, Hot Sour soup and Edamame. Boyfriend got the Beef Noodle soup and grilled chicken skewers. Everything was delicious! The Hot and Sour soup didn't have the Strongest flavor I've tasted but it was very yummy nonetheless and I enjoyed it a lot. The edamame came out fresh and hot which was a pleasant surprise as well. Everything is cooked fresh so be sure you're patient if you want to enjoy the good food! Bf and I enjoyed our meal and the pleasant quiet atmosphere so much we ended up just chilling and watching the awesome video playing on the TV showing all kinds of traditional Taiwanese food dishes being made (almost made us hungry all over again! for about 40 minutes. Definitely a place worth trying at least once if you're in the area or a local! We look forward to coming back again in the future!
Food was extremely good, especially the fried pork chops! They made me feel like I was back in Taiwan. The beef noodle soup?s broth was surreal. However, we were surprised to see broccoli instead of bok choy. We finished everything! The complimentary sweet earl grey iced tea was very aromatic. It could be too sweet for some people. The owner greeted every customer with positive energy. She later stopped by our table when we dined in.
Oh my, this was such a good choice! All the food was delicious, the service was so friendly, the owner is a sweetheart. The pork chop was amazing, the noodle broth was really satisfying, my husband loved the egg drop soup and the dumplings, and we both really loved the complimentary Earl Grey sweet tea! Hoping to come back to the Austin area soon so we can come visit again!
