I adore this restaurant. The servers were friendly, the sushi was packed with fish, and we were even given an extra pot of tea before we left. The ambiance is comfortable and perfect for unwinding. We dined with a group of 6 rock climbers and all left feeling satisfied and content after our meal. View all feedback.
What Thomas Valenzuela doesn't like about Daiki Sushi:
Update:Weird that they come over to offer me a refill on my lemonade, then charge me for a 2nd drink, and claim it’s their policy, however, it doesn’t state such on the menu. Also, the spicy scallop roll was not good. A squirt of bootleg sriracha on the top of a roll doesn’t make it a spicy roll.Another disappointing visit to this restaurant. I really need to stop being in this area when I’m hungry. The service is bad. lachs is directly from the refrigerator of costco, its not for raw sushi. the owner denied it, but can say from the fish not cut by knife but machine. not recommended.
Great ayce. I suppose I've read some cripples here and stopped trying this place a few months ago, but last night I went with friends there and I'm glad I did. my experience was amazing. the sushi is soou fresh and tasty. Please order the lion king. we were in a group of 7 and everyone agrees that eating is so good and worth it. I forgot to make pictures because I was too busy eating? they have a large selection of rollers and they can also order hand rollers. the personal is very friendly. we were there at 19:30 and they were not busy. I would definitely recommend and cannot wait to go back there!
This place has not really a great mood, service was not present, and cleanliness was questionable. so much good. how to set up a golf ball size of tasteless rice under this monstrous, overwhelming plate of uneven cut fish.
Sashimi quality was questionable. the texture was gritty and dry. a ordered escape was not included in the order.
Honestly, I think this place is amazing! For only $22+/person for AYCE when we went, everything was perfect. Food that was meant to be warm and crispy was exactly that. Sushi was flavorful and service was fast. They were also super attentive and greeted us immediately when we entered. This is AMAZING value in San Mateo for the food offered. There was also a large variety of items available to order from including beer on tap. The other reviews on google do not do it justice! Obviously don't expect ridiculously high quality sushi and sashimi that you would've gotten from a fancy Japanese restaurant. This place is no frills, great quality and great options to choose from.
