This is one of San Miguel's most popular spots when looking for a place out with a large group. Loads of seating, friendly service, 2/1 wine specials and a lovely outdoor area. Food is OK. The Mickey rolls are pretty tasty. Of course there are better spots for different occasions but if you're with a group and don't want to be crushed this is the place. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about MX:
The food is not great. But, its a fun place for dancing and good place to meet people. They offer Salsa and tango on different nights. its fun to watch as well as participate. Sometimes, they have free classes before the dancing begins. View all feedback.
We ordered four things: the ceviche guerrerense, a tuna sashimi, a salmon sashimi, and what I think was called sushi al carbon. the whip was forgotten. the fish bite and avoid the unbearable raw and burning tweezers. the only other ingredient was dead. The...sashimi was the equivalent of a piece, inexplicable thin cut and arranged on the plate with lime. the salmon was edible, but not fresh. the thunfish was renamed. it smells disgusting. said the waiter, he checked with the cook and brought back a fresh platelet that smells exactly the same. to his loan he was polite and also removed the thunfish from our bill. the sushi al carbon was five pieces of different seafood that had been carburized, along with five roller cylinders of rice that were darkened. the smoked rice was strange, but tasted fine. my man also enjoyed the rest of the seafood, although it can hardly be called sushi. a man who seemed to be the owner or manager was all the time close, but not check in or apologise for the rancid food. we have tipped appropriately on our overpriced bill and thanked the waiter, but we will never go back. I do not wish the owners and employees any bad will, but I hope this restaurant is closed soon. red seafood is unpredictable in my book.
Very nice restaurant. Good Milongas. The floor is not quite right for dancing. But, a nice tango group gathers there twice a week. The food is good. But, not amazing.
As a 15 year resident of SMA, I have learned to recognize TTs at 1st sight. Grossly overpriced and poorly serviced, no one knows what a sushi menu should be, in the whole place... On the other menu, AVOID the specialty of the house, cabrito...(goat), at all costs, a tasteless concoction in the form of a stew for $240... PITIFUL An insult for cabrito lovers of Monterrey (capital of the cabrito), the owner of MX should be quartered in the public square for his pretentious approach to the restaurant business, an IGNORAMOUS, no doubt! Thank you for our worst dining experience in SMA...
I liked it because it´s the place to be if you want to dine and have drinks. Always crowded so be sure to make your reservation in advance, specially on weekeneds. Trendy place
