"Not sure why this place is so highly rated, in a town that has incredible food options. We were 6 sat on the roof. While service was friendly, it was very slow. I had 3 tacos which were the worst I've had in Mexico dry, bland, crisped tortillas. The only thing going for this place is that it has a nice rooftop but there are several of these in the city."

"As others have mentioned, excellent strong coffee, took a little while but definitely worth the wait. Breakfast menus were in Spanish and a l little on the small side but the food was very good and extremely reasonably priced. We both had a large breakfast and cappuccino for less than $17 US, including a 20% tip. Recommended!"

"Dropped in for a late meal. Mussels Paella. Nice people, good food. Sergio our waiter used to work in Chicago. Bernardo, one of the owners greeted us at the door as we walked in off the street."

"Casa Nostra offers a gorgeous view of SMA at sunset from their rooftop terrace—and they even have blankets available for once the sun goes down and the wind picks up which was a great touch. We had good service, but the 4 star review was due to the fact that we were upsold on the tagliatelle with mushrooms and Serrano ham that had sooooooo much Parmigiano-Reggiano that it was inedible. I know this sounds hard to believe—we typically have to ask for extra parm, but it was an overly rich, gooey glob of over-cooked pasta. While also very rich, the Casa Nostra Flammenkueechen was very tasty!"

"My sister and I stayed in an Airbnb close to the Cafe Buen Dia and we had breakfast there almost every morning we were in San Miguel. It is a peaceful patio off of Hidalgo with excellent coffee and food. I fell in love with their jugo verde and miss it terribly now that I am back in the US. The proprietors are great and kindly engaged with my pretty basic Spanish. I don't know for certain that this is the best breakfast in San Miguel, because I really didn't want to go anywhere else!"
