"One of our favorite bars in all of Mexico. Been coming here since ‘19 and everything has been getting better and better every year. Great selection of Mezcal and amazing food to compliment."

"One of the best breakfasts in SMA. Delicious fresh juice, large coffee and an interesting menu (also available with all usual dishes). I had the Huevos Toluca and it was wonderful. Will definitely be a regular one!"

"We ate here a couple of times. The atmosphere is pleasant and the food was quite good. The menu includes many typical Mexican dishes. The restaurant was not very busy at the times we were there. It's a nice place to go if you want...to get away from the crowds."

"I wanted to really like this one, and it's hard to leave this review. I feel bad about saying it was poor, but given the cost and quality of food from the other restaurants in this city it does fall short of average. The owner...and waiter is a delightful character, but food quality was below average and price above average. It's impossible to tell from outside what lies in store for you inside. Inside it is a nice cozy, darkened restaurant with shelves lined with old dusty jars of preserves. Wine racks covered with dusty bottles, give the impression of an impressive wine list. From a purely aesthetic point of view it's worth a visit. There is a prominent No Photos sign, which seems unnecessary. When we walked in we found one other couple eating, and all the rest of the tables had reserved signs. The owner asked if we had reservations, we didn't, and he then removed a sign and sat us at a table. There are no menus, and no indication of cost. The owner came back told us it was a Prix Fixe menu Pesos per person, and gave us a moment to think about it. Given the price we thought we might be in for a treat, but I'll also confess that we stayed because it felt awkward to stand up and leave. It seems the other couple had changed their mind on the carafe of wine, and that became ours for another pesos. There was no wine list, no other options presented, and it wasn't very good wine. The tapas were ok, serrano ham, cheese, marinated mushrooms and chickpeas with bacon. The main meals were a disappointment, the paella was stodgy, the shrimp and shell fish were overcooked and chewy. The cassoulet reminded us of canned beans in tomato sauce, the chorizo however was delicious. I don't remember all the desert options, but the flan was a better bet than the pear in watery red wine. Coffee, although part of the Prix Fixe, was never offered. This was the most expensive meal we had so far, but was the most disappointing and lacked the quality and imagination of other places. Eating alone in the relative silence of the restaurant, after our neighboring diners left, prolonged the awkwardness. I got the feeling that this may have once been a great restaurant, but has seen better days."
