This is such a fun experience and is one of my favorite places to get fish. I know the fish is fresh since you can pick it yourself. I love that the location is right on the port. Most of the service is pretty so so since it's either self service or the actual cooking of your meal. If you decide to go here instead because the line for San Pedro Fish Market is too long... save yourself the bad meal and just go to a different San Pedro...
