After I had made a non-refundable reservation for tonight, I received a message from the hotel that they could not accommodate me for maintenance and had to cancel my stay. As a hotelier, I know that hotels can have their calendars so that rooms can be blocked and not reserved if they have planned maintenance or other activities.
