This is Thai food at its best and most authentic! I lived in Southeast Asia for some time and make quite a few Thai dishes at home. I can assure you this is the real stuff. There is none better in the Salt Lake area. The spices are spot on. My wife and I have eaten here 4 times now and every dish was perfect. I can't wait to go again. The menu is huge for any restaurant, but amazing for such a small place. I was orig... View all feedback.
What Amber Batz doesn't like about Andaman Kitchen:
one of the worst Thai experiences we had in salt lake, which says something because there are some very bad restaurants in the city. for the person who complicated the spring rolls should perhaps observe to break apart the frozen stones of them in the back before complicating them on the fresh and handmade quality. also vegetarian items must be requested and our food was served cold. but the staff is really nice and... Dreadful experience! Last night I went on a date to andaman kitchen because, I renovated a gift certificate for Restaurant.com we thought we would try some Thai food. the plan was to go to a nice restaurant, and watch a movie. After we waited for our food for half an hour, without apologies and badly sitting when we were the only people in the restaurant at that point, we simply couldn't wait to get out! the young waitress was very rude if we were to ask that she would brush us off and only became friendly when it was time for her tipp. we called to complain and she put her own as her own when she came out that she was only manager...read more

Serious customer service. we sat in the corner on a table next to the windows, which was very cold, while many other tables were available. we asked to exchange the tofu for an additional empanada and were quickly told that there are no substitutions on the combo remover plate. it took a whole hour until our appetizer came out and an additional minute for our escape. from there was eating under standard. I was in many Thai restaurants and this place was far away even good. we were addressed by a year-old girl with immaturation that obviously did not want to work there, but that is a family restaurant and they are probably short workers. the lack of...read more
The service was terrible and the eating was ehhh. sister and mother had curry, said it was good. I got bark salad and asked on the milder side (because they can't make it very mild) and it was still super hot and my mom (the super hot Indian and Mexican all the time eats) even said it was. when we told the waitress and my mother asked that she took the bill she called the manager for us. manager was also chef and was extremely rude. she argued with us about how she was just a little of the spicy paste in her and that the curry my sister and mother was a lot sizier, although it was really not. she argued with us for at least five minutes and then went off to me...more
Tried this place with my mom today. Overall, pretty good. Has earned another trip from me. The Pad Thai is unique in the facet it has a sweet and sour sauce on it. Not bad, just different. The Cashew Nut is also very good. If you go there for one reason only, it would be for the Thai custard and sticky rice. It's so so delish!
