We went to Il Giardino last night to celebrate a wedding anniversary. The Hotel Royal is very Grand and while you climb the hill with your car you can feel the vibes of La Dolce Vita. The lobby, corridors and the overall ambience are luxurious in a decadent way. Il Giardino is basically the outdoor version of their inside restaurant. What LeanneCM doesn't like about Il Giardino:
We were shown an elegant little restaurant overlooking the sea. Then, when we arrived for dinner, we were told that room was full and seated in the adjacent conference room with fluorescent lighting. Others seated with us were just as disappointed. Empty tables in the other room when we arrived, all through dinner, and when we left. Might have been nicer if weather permitted us to sit outside.
