Amazing! Had our daughters baptism at the captains grill for lunch last Sunday - the food was sensational and the service impeccable nothing was a problem- to have lunch for 80ppl (20 kids) and have everyone happy - well done to the captains grill team you were fantastic.Thank you View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Captain's grill:
Garlic bread had no Garlic or salt on it just tasted like plain butter. Steak and fish was a bit small in size for two hungry men. The stroganoff came in a shiner silver dish that was something out of the seventies and outdated and also needed salt. Maybe the Captain needs to modernise the menu and approach. View all feedback.
We went there on Saturday night without a booking we were offered a table straight away , cutlery on table was dirty , one of our meals came out with a hair on the plate , food is not up to standard considering the position...of this restaurant and club , downstairs restaurant is much better by far . Staff were very pleasant .
My partner and I went out for dinner on a Saturday night and had a disappointing experience. We waited for 20 minutes for the "Wait Sit" sign, but despite having 6 people pass us, no one acknowledged us or made eye contact. After trying to get the attention of several employees, we finally approached a staff member, only to be met with arrogance and excuses about how busy they were. The front of the housewife even sat behind us during this whole ordeal. This kind of service is unacceptable, especially as a local trying to support a small business. Unfortunately, this was the first negative review I've ever left, as I usually try to focus on the positive. But in this case, it was impossible to overlook the poor service we received.
We have the seafood plate, a beautiful selection of seafood, the Calamari was one of the slopes. The staff was pleasant and friendly.
I recently went to Captain Grill to try their Lobster Mornay: my friend got a half portion and I got a full one. We're always on the lookout for places that serve lobster Mornay in our area, and this is now my second favorite spot (my top pick is still a Sunday night special at another restaurant, but unfortunately they don't offer it for lunch at the same price). The lobsters were on the smaller side (probably just legal size), but they were delicious! We paid a bit extra to have them with sweet potato fries instead of regular fries. In hindsight, we realized that it would have been better to just order the three-course meal with the lobster upgrade. The staff was very friendly and provided quick service. I signed up for their club for $2.50/year and got a discount on the drinks I ordered. I will definitely be coming back to Captain Grill.
Good food with a view. We were a party of 24 and sat on two long tables. For such a large group they would not split the bill understandably. Visited Dec 2017
