"We came for Wifi and a cappuccino and ended with Pedro. Very friendly and accommodating staff and excellent service. Pedro answered a number of questions we had in Lima on the first day, his English is pretty good. It is a must to stop in the cafe;"

"We're in Lima for a month so we've hit a lot of places. We've been twice in the first two weeks. It's an old mansion converted into a bar/restaurant. Has separate rooms with couches and coffee tables so you can hangout, main dining down stairs. Upstairs two nice bars. Mainly a bar with good bar food. Great lively bar scene on weekends and good drinks. Come late and enjoy yourself."

"Great seafood options, eclectic and interesting menu, good service, comfortable setting. Their specialities are cebiche and tiradito but they have many other dishes and every one is excellent. I’ve been here maybe a dozen times and have sampled many dishes. It does get busy and they do not accept reservations."

City: Surquillo (near Santa Ana), Jr San Miguel Nro 962 Surquillo - Lima, Peru
"In the last four or so years, while visiting the family in Miraflores, my family enjoyed it, according to Rincon Tiabaya, a traditional Arequipena restaurant in the working class district Surquillo. Sarsas, very much arequipena, are combinations of onion and lime salsa over various types of meat. I like especially sarsa de patita pork feet), my daughter had the sarsa de criadillas rocky mountain oysters, or bull tests. The rocoto relleno is to die and the lengua arrebozada is tender and tasty. For those who are very adventurous, arrebozada de ubre udder) is something to try. I prefer the toungue. If you like the Andean traditional drink, Chicha de jora, my husband recommends it. My daughter, the veterinarian, thought it tasted like cow rumens. The girls and I prefer Chicha morada, a sweet fruity drink with purple corn and pineapple loop. They also make beautiful cocktails with the powerful Peruvian brandy called Pisco; combine it with various local fruits. Rincon Tiabaya is not too easy to find because it is just a white wall with an open door as you go down the street; but most taxistas in Miraflores or Surquillo will probably know how to get there. Enjoy!"
