Have to try when other claim they have the best bean and cheese burritos. Even a 2019 Michelin recognition. I say cheese and bean burrito since there was an overload of cheese compared to the beans. It was good for sure. But I can't say best I ever had. I mean it's kind of hard to mess one up. The tortilla was definitely tasty. Also got the birria bean cheese ones. Need of course. Also tasted good. But I can't give t... View all feedback.
The word best gets thrown around a lot, but when it comes to BLP and especially their tortillas it does not get better. These are not your football-sized monstrosities you get at other places, but true burritos that satisfy with their quality.Food: 5/5
These little burritos don't look like much, and they're actually quite simple... And they are absolutely incredible. My go-to burritos. The tortillas are excellent. In addition, the burrito keeps reasonably well. I saved a Birria burrito and ate it two days later; it was still tasty after 90 seconds in the microwave. I was concerned that it would be too soggy.
So thankful my friend brought these to a hang out in downtown Santa Ana... they are incredible!!!!I initially scoffed at the size (be prepared they are SMALL!! but the flavors do not disappoint! Best are the Con Todo (cheese, Birria and beans it is $4.95 for one so you will need to order a few to get full.Do not sleep on these burritos!!!
I am so torn about writing a review for this place. Let me start off by saying that my star rating is for the flavor/quality of the food. If I was rating it on value, I would have to go lower. What do I mean? Well, the burritos are really, really good. There is no doubt that the meat, beans, cheese, tortillas and sauce are on point. They have the taste thing dialed in, 100%. The problem for me is the price. These are little snack-sized burritos (they look like flautas), so a normal person would need to get at least 2 or 3 to make a meal. I honestly could and would eat here every day if the prices weren't so outrageous. The other day I ordered the plate special (two burritos and a scoop of beans) and I added a 3rd burrito. The cost was in the neighborhood of $21. YIKES. It was one of those times where my tummy was happy but my wallet was sore. Bottom line: If you haven't eaten here, you need to try their food. It is really good and your mouth will be happy. You will have to decide if you're willing to fork out the cash to come back for a 2nd visit.
Burritos La Palma gained fame after being featured on a Netflix show that celebrated the humble burrito. Despite the pandemic, my daughter and I were thrilled to discover that this restaurant was located nearby in neighboring Santa Ana. Upon arriving, we saw a line of people waiting to order, which was a testament to the restaurant's popularity. The parking lot was under construction during our visit, but the community's teamwork made it easy to get in and out. We decided to try the birria burrito, bean and cheese, and the con toda, which has beans, cheese, and birria. When we got home, we eagerly tried our new discovery and were blown away by the delicious flavors. My personal favorite is the con todo and beans and cheese. The savory beans and delicious tortillas taste just like grandma's (yikes lets keep that between us). We also discovered that the house made tortillas are available for purchase by the package at random times, which was a delightful surprise.Overall, Burritos La Palma lived up to its hype and delivered mouthwatering burritos that we cannot wait to have again. The popularity of this restaurant is well-deserved, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Mexican food experience.
