"Food quality is super inconsistent. One time it will be great from the tacos to the birria Broth. But then the next time we order everything lacks flavor and color and the Broth will be way too watery and no flavor. Wish the tortillas for the birria tacos were actually fried in the oil to give it that orange color and wish the Broth wasn't as watery and bland. When this place first opened this was our go to every Tuesday, but that has changed over time unfortunately due to the quality and inconsistencies we no longer order from here."

"We were excited about eating here even before it received a James Beard nomination...and I have to say that the entire experience lived up to the hype (and then some). This is a fine-dining restaurant with the prices to match, but the food is so unique and delicious and the service so on-point that it was worth every penny. The room itself is lovely--dark and refined but punctuated by brilliant artwork hanging on every wall. The initial mole tasting was not only fun but also helpful, since we ended up choosing the main course option of selecting a protein (I got halibut, my husband got pork) and choosing your favorite mole to go with it. Every dish was fascinating and delicious and beautiful to look at--you can see and taste the level of care and detail that goes into all of them. The chef came out to talk to every group of diners and even posed for a selfie with us as we were leaving! The juxtaposition of traditional fine-dining touches with flavors you may have never experienced left us delighted at the end, and we can't wait to go back."

"To compliment the many wonderful Southwestern meals you're likely to have when visiting Santa Fe, this Venezuelan hidden gem is perfect. The staff is wonderful, the owner charming, and the food unique and delicious. We really enjoyed our meal here plantains, sweet corn discs (sorry, the correct word escapes me but these were delicious), and empanadas topped off with a refreshing blackberry drink. It was perfect for our outdoor lunch."

"Santa maria fe is one of those places famous for its large restaurants and caffes. there are in the rule so many good places to go that you find it hard to choose one from the extensive list of gourmet towns to go, and it feels almost as if you choose to sacrifice 20 other great options. I can say that “Il Vicino” is sure that one of these stops that they do not want to miss on their trip to santa fe if they are a fan of wood-burning pizza. this place not only offers delicious food, but also a great environment. during the covid19 hardest restriction days they have made accommodation on their beautiful exterior and offered all security measures for their customers. the personal is extremely attentive and beautiful, their waiting time is excellent, because they have fast service, and the menu is great as well, offering fresh and good quality ingredients, and for the pizza, with this wood-cuttered oven flavor that happens to be irresistible. they also have their own brewing companies that allow them to serve their own beer brand “Canteen”, an internationally excellent beer that is worth trying! I especially loved their amber ale option. I recommend this place, it is ideal for all types of customers whether they travel on a romantic trip, or as a family visit as long as they love amazing pizza and salads, this is the place!"
