Hoppy's Place - Santa Ana

Hoppy's Place Santa Ana We know craft beer on tap is not common in Costa Rica and most Ticos drink the National beers: Imperial, Pilsen and Bavaria. Microbreweries are starting to pop up here and Hoppy's Place in Santa Ana is one. They have really good beers; I wanted to try a flight but they don't have them. Instead they let me sample several before making my selection. The men opted for the Black Magic Porter. I chose Summer Passion, a light fruity beer. We sat outside in a covered open air seating area. The atmosphere is perfect for spending time with friends over a beer and we had excellent, friendly service. Food is farm to table and features smoked meats. We enjoyed Hoppy's Place and we'll be back.

One of my favorites . The owner is always around and has a real passion for his well crafted beer . The food is simple, but hearty and delicious. Great for a relaxed night out with friends.
