This was our first visit to the restaurant. My brother and his family have had food from here a lot of times and so we tried a new restaurant this time with them . I am a mumbaikar so always try maharashtrian food. We had ordered a lot of different dishes . We loved the Kothambir vadi with sweet salty nutty green chutney. What Rishabh Indoria doesn't like about Puranpoli:
Not spicy, lacked authenticity of Mumbai/Maharashtra. Lived in Mumbai for 22 years. Misal was sweet even when I asked for spicy, vada paav was just eatable. Other places like Swaraj and “Paav bhaji and more” are much better for vada View all feedback.

Bombay Biryani is delicious. The best biriyani I have had in the area. Sabudana Vada is as authentic as in India. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Sabudana Vada was awesome! Vada Pav the Vada was too garlicky for our taste

"This has been on my list for a long time. This restaurant doesn't take reservations and I read in reviews that the wait could be really long on the weekend, I didn't want to take the chance to drive all the way to Santa Clara and not be able to dine here. I finally get to get brunch here on a Friday when I didn't have to work. Even on a Friday, it was pretty packed close to noon and some customers had to wait. I came here with a friend and we ordered their popular dishes Chicken and Waffle, Buttermilk Pancakes and a side of house salad to feel healthy. The chicken and waffle was my favorite, I typically love to mix sweet and savory and this dish was able to hit the spot. The waffle was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the fried chicken was perfectly crispy and had the right amount of seasoning. The maple syrup was just a cherry on top for this dish. The buttermilk pancake is definitely on the sweeter side, so the tartness from the berries pair well with the sweetness. House salad and coffee was just ok, nothing extraordinary. Overall, I had a good experience here but I do hope they open up for reservations in the future!"

"I first visited Rita's in Pittsburgh and I've been craving the frozen custard ever since July. At first I thought it was an east coast chain or something, but to my surprise I found there are so many Bay Area locations. I just had to visit this one in Santa Clara so close to home! Unlike the Rita's I visited in the east coast, this Rita's has an actual storefront where you can sit and enjoy your dessert. All the custard flavors are on display like an ice cream shop which makes it easy to choose what flavor you want. I visited around lunchtime and the store was pretty empty. The server at the counter was also very nice and friendly. I absolutely love the vanilla frozen custard, so I ordered that again. It was just like what I had before so creamy and delicious, not too sweet! Their quality is definitely quite consistent between stores. Now that I know there's a Rita's so close by to me, I will be back to try some other custard flavors!"

"Really awesome little spot with delicious dim sum and quick service. I had Shanghai soup dumplings, steamed pork buns and five spice marinated combination appetizer. Appetizer came out first and quickly and was nice and chilled and had great flavor. Dumplings and pork buns came out 10m later and piping hot."
