"I was at this restaurant today, with my family and it's the worst restaurant that I've tried in Açores... fries were fried in a old oil, steaks were fried i guess on same oil... My wife and I asked for blue cook meat but we guet well-done cooked meat...My son asked for an hamburger the bfread was cold, meat was fried as well ..... disgusting.Hoje foi a primeira vez que comi tao mal nos Açores, a comida neste restaurante é horrivel, é uma pena de estragar a carne de esta maneira, pedi un bife regional que veio frito e muito bem passado (tinha pedido mal passado) a minha esposa pedui une costeleta de vitela que tambem foi frita e muito passada, (tambem tinha pedido mal passado) as batatas fritas dos dois foram fritas em oleo que ja tinha sido utizado para outros fritos."

"After walking this stretch of the levada , we decided to have a bite to eat near the bus terminus at the Palheiro Gardens. What a find ! We had beef and mushroom picado with chips and salad along with 2 desserts plus one large and one medium beer. Food was very good . Our waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. He spoke excellent English. The small restaurant was busy with locals and some tourists. Our bill came to €27.40 . What a bargain . We also had a shot of the local rum when we paid our bill. We will definitely return when we walk the levada again ."

"TripAdvisor didn't list any restaurants in Praia at the time, only some in the town a couple of miles away. We found this one opposite the entrance to the beach and booked a table for later in the evening. The waitress struggled to smile, but service was OK, just a little unfriendly. It doesn't look much from outside, but does have a nice dining room inside the building (well hidden). Local dishes of fish and meat mostly. My companions had a variety of chorizo and sausages to start and I had the local cheese which was nice. Standard omelette for the main course for me and steaks for everyone else. They all enjoyed their food and mine was OK. Again very little for non-meat eaters, but on the plus side the whole meal with wine was pretty cheap."
