"Great spot with views of the ocean and sunset. The food was amazing each time I went (thrice for me) some of the best beef I've ever had, fresh fish, and an amazing octopus dish! Owner/chef is really open and welcoming as was the staff. Not a big place, so I'd recommend scoring a reservation. Go, you will not be disappointed!"

"I’m rating here on a relative scale, as I’ve found it challenging to find good, reasonably priced food on the Azores in general, and on Flores in particular. They don’t have much on the island along the way of fresh produce (just look at the...fruit and vegetable sections in the grocery stores, and be prepared for a shock... . There also aren’t many restaurants on Flores at all. That being taken into consideration, the food at O Moleiro — while being simple — was reasonably good, served in large portions (in contrast with the tiny portions we got elsewhere in restaurants on the islands , and was reasonably priced, and the service was efficient and friendly. Again, on a relative scale — recommended."

"Very slow service, the waitress was on her own for much of the time. The first course cheese olives and bread finally arrived after a bottle of white wine had gone. We had 3 jugs of water(4 diners)The last piece of bread was mouldy and stale.The main courses came about 40 minutes later, mine was 2 skewers of prawns (just warm) chips that were soggy and cold and a some lettuce and cucumber. I complained about the chips and was told it was the Flores potatoes that do not make good chips???? I was offered rice I accepted but I had 2 prawns by the time it arrived.My husbands grilled chicken was dry and over cooked.Our friends had a mixed (over cooked) grill.The owner needs to get a cook who can do the job, a waitress (or 3) who is pleasant tocustomers. It seemed to me that the restaurant relied on it's position by the sea with good views and the quality of the food didn't seem to matter.I would not recommend this place to anybody."
