"If you ever visit Oaxaca City, it's all about A.M. Siempre Cafe (always morning, which makes sense because they serve brunch food all day)! I have convinced my husband to return here with me multiple times this week, and we may have to go back for one last encore visit today, which is our last day here. They have the best lattes, Oaxacan hot chocolate, and fresh sandwiches, and it's conveniently the closest cafe/eatery to where we are staying in the Xochimilco Barrio, which is about a 30 minute walk to the Zocalo, or main square. I appreciate the healthier options they offer with fresh bread and produce. The staff has been very nice and welcoming towards us, especially one server/barista who we've asked questions to in developing our Spanish (and she has been a local, friendly face to see throughout the week)! Quiet, relaxing ambiance to hang out, sit, and chat while enjoying coffee and food. The prices are very reasonable, as my chico size latte is $27 pesos and our sandwiches are $30 pesos. I will miss A.M. Siempre Cafe after we leave Oaxaca!"

"Visited Cafe Brújula 3 times during our week visit. Meseros are very accommodating and their pan de elote y pan de Fresca are outstanding. They have different locations around the city for you to enjoy a cafe. We had the unicorn blend and maestros blend as well as regular Lattes. Great flavors all around. We were even treated to a ginger espresso shot which is amazingly refreshing."

"You have a lot of gluten on the menu! I have a cream of squash soup and a fish in yellow mol sauce and the star was dessert, a goat cheese flan with roasted nuts and honey and figs. I was so over the food, they had some very strong flavors that were very new to me, and loved the dessert. The server also brought out a separate record of corn tostadas for me, apart from that which had bread in it, but no separate record of Salsas had to be careful with it. Overall, I think it is a really good option for GF Food."
