I love this place for their bread. They have several cute designs (like turtles). My favorite thing to get is the grilled cheese with apple slices and fig jam. Bacon and jalapeños slices really kick it up to the next level. The staff is friendly. Definitely make sure you get their app, so you can get free bread every month View all feedback.
What Edwina Thompson doesn't like about Boudin Sf:
I was so disappointed in the Sourdough Baguette, it was not like the regular advertised bread I'm used to getting at Boudin's. It did not have the crust or sourdough taste and smell. It was more like a sandwich roll from a grocery store. View all feedback.
My job in San Rafael catered Boudin and provided lunch for the employees who came in on a Saturday for OT. I decided to try the Boudin in Santa Rosa. This particular night I wanted a sandwich. I ordered the sandwich that came with a salad. I made the mistake of ordering another salad on the side. The lady who helped me cancel the order spoke to the employees in the kitchen in Spanish. Alicia went out of her way to get it right and she checked on me several times to see if I needed anything? Another young lady came to my table to tell me she was about to make my beverage. The French bread was a site to see and they had a variety. I was totally happy with my sandwich and very pleased with the service. I shall return, I love me some Boudin, my job has me spoiled.
Went here with my dad when we were in Santa Rosa. When we went inside we ordered at the Kiosk but when we tried to pay with a gift card, it wouldn 't work so we ended up having to reorder at the register. Maybe if we paid with card it would have been fine. I ordered a pick a pair with clam chowder soup in a bread bowl and French dip sandwich and the total of my meal was about $14. Not too bad considering how much food (bread) you get. I have noticed the bread at Boudin can be hit or miss. Sometimes it is super fresh and pillowy while other times it tastes a bit stale. Today, they bread was great, super soft and good flavor. The clam chowder is always solid. The French dip sandwich was ok. Not much too it, just bread, beef and au jus. The sandwich was dry without the dipping sauce and the beef tasted overcooked and poor in quality. Overall not a bad meal and I will be trying a different sandwich next time.
Went with two friends. I ordered a Classic Cheeseburger; my friends, a salad, and a small pepperoni pizza. The counter staff was very courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. All the items were very good; their bread is the star here, but all the items had good, fresh ingredients, in proper proportions. It's somewhat busy during lunch hour, with a mix of shoppers and workers from nearby stores and offices. They offer take-out and delivery also, but the interior is modern, open, and airy, a moderate level of noise during lunch hour; a conversation at normal volume is still mostly possible. Will eat there again when in the area.
The husband and I went for lunch. He had chicken Pesto sandwich and I had the keto turkey club sandwich with a small tomato soup...we were very happy with our delicious lunch....I will definitely be back!
Dining at Boudin SF was an absolute treat! I am always on the lookout for new and exciting places to eat, and Boudin SF did not disappoint. Though just one of their signature dishes, the clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl, was nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. The sourdough bread was baked to perfection, providing the perfect vessel for the rich and creamy clam chowder. The flavors were so well-balanced and the chowder was so satisfying, it was like a warm hug on a cold day. I highly recommend Boudin SF to any food lover looking for a delicious and comforting meal. A must-try!
