"We finally had a late sailing and were anxious to try some local food. Ten minute taxi ride fromthe Port landed us at Nossa Casa. A charming restaurant, on the riverfront. Beware not one word of English or Spanish was spoken there and so we were very limited in decifering the menu. The caipirinhas were terrific, the staff couldn't have been nicer. started off with four entradas..shrimp. Two empanadas and a banana dish.. The portions of main dishes were each meant for two people and were quite large. I had a Fish Cordon Bleue. Wasn't called that but it was fish, sliced ham and cheese with a cheese sauce and rice which is the house specialty."
