"We went to El Machetico in January 2016. We were on a Pablo Escobar tour with Trasnporter Medellin Transport and asked if we could stop by El Machetico for empanadas (which was a referral from a friend).. The place is a take-out spot, and there was big line of locals when we arrived (always a great sign). The empanadas are big, deep fried, and greasy – great stuff for the occasional grease grenade of an empanada. If passing through Medellin, you MUST make a stop at this place."
