"I visited Mr. Mike’s twice. This was after Thanksgiving but before the area’s winter rush. The restaurant was completely empty. I ordered my food to go (pizza and salad). The food was good. No complaints. The prices were fair. Just something of note for anyone visiting Lake Placid, some of the businesses prefer cash and will give a discount for using cash or charge the swipe fee. Mr. Mike’s charges $1.00 for using cards. They don’t say upfront."

"Been coming here 32yrs. Takes a little longer than the other restaurants? Great…enjoy one of Tommy’s cocktails while your food is made SPECIFICALLY FOR YOU. No red lamps. No warming ovens. Just a fire in the hearth, Tommy behind the bar and something splendid on your plate. Cannot recommend you have dinner with Joe and Colleen any stronger. The best."

"The best breakfast in Saranac Lake. It isn't big and isn't fancy, but the food is soooo good. I almost always get the scrambled mess, eggs scrambled with onions, peppers, bacon, cheese, with home fries toast. My hubbie often leans towards the specials, like the banana carmel french toast. I'm not a coffee girl (MTN dew is my go go juice DJs has it ice cold), but everyone raves about it and the girls keep it flowing. If you are in Saranac Lake, this is a must stop for breakfast. It's been mine for 40 years."

"C26 Sesame Chicken is awful, has a funky taste, extremely over cooked. I added lomein for an upcharge, Im not even sure how anyone can eat the lomein, the smell alone is awful, but I thought maybe its just a seasoning Im not familiar with, it made me gag. It taste like what I would imagine a dirty floor would taste like. The #5 Fried Dumpling appetizer, was ok, edible, if u didnt use the sauce it came with, again that tasted awful, rancid almost. Gosh I feel bad for locals who want Chinese, and this is their only option. Also the application wouldnt let me place an order without purchasing a water, which I thought was odd, but I figured oh well, Ill drink the water later since Im staying in a hotel anyways and have the coke I did want, with my dinner."
