Overall, I was pleased with the experience. Food was great, service was OK (a little slow, but very attentive and pleasant and you weren't constantly checked up on, which was nice) Good options, big portions, and a nice vibe. I plan on going back again. View all feedback.
What Jolie Johns doesn't like about Blue Agave:
We are a local Saratoga family and went to Blue Agave on Friday night August 12th, 2016 with a group of 7. We had been three nights before and had a good experience on a Tuesday night, but they were understaffed for a Friday night. The margaritas here are the best I've had in the area, strong and not too sweet. The food here is always great. If you dig guac, give the seasonal guacamole a try, it's a treat. The atmosphere is fun and casual.
Went on a Tuesday about 5pm. Confusing entry walks you right into the bar which seemed too dark and very loud. Another entry leads to the dining room, an open boring area with booths along the wall and a few tables scattered around. I think next time I 'll sit outside. Their outdoor seating, which they try to shield from the parking lot and road with trees seemed like a cute place to hang out. The (free at table salsa was good. Not exactly salsa, more like diced up tomatoes with seasoning while the 'hotter ' salsa included jalapeno peppers. Both worked well on the chips provided. The menu, delivered on a clipboard (huh? seemed expensive for what was being offered BUT I discovered they were having happy hour. Tuesday Happy Hour meant $1 tacos!! And their chicken tacos were delicious!!! If it weren 't for the prices, I would guess this could become an awesome local spot because the flavors are good but the menu prices didn 't make up for the atmosphere. Those tacos though will have me coming back another Tuesday.
They make a good margarita. Shrimp sliders are great and so are the mini burritos. <3 Awesome staff, love the atmosphere, love the food, great drinks.
