"When visiting my daughter I asked her once more to take me out to 'Frantsila Kehäkukka ' about 35km outside Tampere. As before I enjoyed a walk here in the herb garden and later a nice vegetarian lunch in self service. The restaurant is located in a school building from 1875 full of traditional charm. Next to it is a shop, where organic products of the Frantsila Herb Farm are being sold. For me I bought for the third time a 'Terva-Pihka Salva ' (a Pine Tar Salve), which helps against cracks in my hands during cold weather. As I read the herb farm was started in 1981 by a couple (Finnish wife, French husband) and I was wondering, if the name 'Frantsila ' has to do with France, although the country is called 'Ranska ' in Finnish. The letter 'F ' is used in Finnish only for words of foreign origin. 'Kehäkukka ' again is the name for the flower 'Marigold ', which can be seen in the garden, labelled with descriptions, as for most plants, but only in Finnish."
