"I went down a windy little road and found myself in the shire. It took me a minute to confirm the pub was in fact the pub rather than the house of one Frodo Baggins and Sam wise the great. I proceeded to find the finest little pub in North Saanich. The beer is a plenty and the food smells like second breakfast. If you fancy traveling back to a simpler time and place you must enjoy an experience at the Stonehouse pub. I’ll be seeing you. 5 stars. Bilbo Baggins"

"The food was just ordinary, but very pricy for its meager portion. The service was horrible, and the wishy-washy, who-cares attitude was cold at best. The view was reasonably pretty, yet marred by fake grass everywhere surrounding the deck. With the umbrella over our table having been previously broken, it wouldn't adjust to block the sun glare. Most servers were visibly unhappy, very unprofessional and unpleasant, but we got lucky and wound up with a young lady with a lovely personality. Otherwise, there was nothing else to redeem this place from itself."
