What Mariano Sanford likes about Riggers Pub:
based on other reviews and talking to some locals, we thought that this place would be closed for the september long weekend. we were excited to see it open! with weight restrictions on the seaplane we could not bring a beer so that it is possible to have an ice-cold local beer from powell river, was amazing! this is a rustic small fishing style pub with a wrap around the terrace that leads to a large backyard area.... because it is a seasonal restaurant in the summer months, they do not always have a regular cook/cook in service. some years is eating great, other years is eating just so-so. (once for a change from burgers, I ordered the advertised homemade Lasagne special.... what I got was a previously frozen lasagna microwave dish for the same price). No matter, it's a fun place for a afternoon snack or for a little nightlife. View all feedback.

read moreDespite some mixed reviews on the food quality, the quaint seasonal restaurant offers a fun atmosphere for an afternoon snack or evening outing. Some patrons have experienced issues with reheated food, but the spot is known for serving a variety of local beers. The rustic charm and friendly staff make for a pleasant dining experience. It's a great place to unwind and enjoy a cold drink, especially on a quiet afternoon. The owner, Bruce, adds a personal touch that enhances the overall ambiance. Overall, Riggers is a delightful spot for a casual meal and socializing with locals.
