What Uday Pardeshi doesn't like about Downcliffe House:
We booked a celebration meal for our mothers birthday, we had made them aware of this when booking. The restaurant and hotel are beautiful both inside and out and the food was amazing, however the lack of service was an eye opener to us...all, it certainly wasn't what we all expected from this type of establishment and we certainly wouldn't recommend this hotel/restaurant to anybody else who will be visiting the loca... The food is over sold, over prices, slapped together and NOT worth the money. We can cook better at home

"What a great value little cafe this is! We have just returned from Scarborough after a 10 night stay and this is the best cafe we visited by far. The salads are fab, the lasagne to die for, but the waffle with cream, stawberries and nutella is amazing. Wow!! The staff are very friendly and prices are great value. There is a seating area outside and the cafe is situated just outside Peasholm Park. 5 out of 5."

"I tried this restaurant for Sunday lunch and I'd heard really good things before going. Safe to say I wasn't let down. The roast lamb dinner was delicious and a really good portion. Honestly the size on them Yorkshires is ridiculous! I then had the white turtle cheesecake which was so beautifully presented and tasted just as delicious. The staff were also really friend and just the right amount of attentive."
