This small gem of a cafe is in Scarborough shops located between a cool ladies boutique and designer shoe shop. The staff are simply amazing, and nothing is too much trouble. They really care. The food is delicious, highly recommend the Reuben bagel with sauerkraut (YUM!) Stop here and you will relax, you may end up making new friends, it has a true sense of authentic community spirit. People were friendly but we waited for 40mins for a few takeaway coffees then had to then remind them that we also ordered croissants, if i have to wait longer then 15mins for a takeaway coffee id rather they tell me when i order. with lots of other cafes along the same street, I'd go elsewhere. Have to line up at the till to place an order but staff are polite even though rushed. The chilled display cabinet was filled with so many goodies both savoury and sweet. I have never seen croissants as large as the ones int he cafe. Coffee and meal arrived in good time. Scrambled eggs were perfect! Just the right amount of creaminess.
We made an impromptu visit to this café on a Thursday afternoon for a coffee. The beautiful array of cakes and pastries proved impossible to resist. Very pleasant atmosphere and the service was excellent. The coffee was tailor-made exactly as we like it. Will definitely return to this café in Scarborough.
We thought we would try this place. It seemed nice enough. But boy was it slow. The slowest service on the peninsula ( apart from the Redcliffe post office) is feel goods at woody point but the close second is these guys. We waited 27 minutes for the time we ordered until the meals arrived. The busker made it a pleasant wait. I ordered the eggs Benedict and was told the menu price was for a plain eggs Benedict and if I wanted ham, salmon or bacon it was $3 extra? What the? The thing that makes it eggs Benedict is the presence of ham, bacon or salmon. Without it you have eggs and hollandaise sauce. It just gave me a feeling of being conned. When it arrived it was tasty enough even though there was very little hollandaise. These guys are ok but I think we will go back to Sea Salt and Vine from now on.

I come here whenever I’m in town and nearby and it never disappoints. The coffee is goooood. Nice strong espresso, amazing breakfasts, and absolutely delicious cakes and slices. Couldn’t help myself this morning. Vanilla slice, carrot cake, but that Italian jam drop is something special.
