"Don't hesitate to ask them for the flavors that you want! They're geniuses. I don't know how they they did it but with just couple of vague pointers from my side I had cocktails that were so perfect they filled a hole in my soul. This place was the highlight of my trip in Salzburg."

"While this restaurant is located a little off the beaten track, it is well worth making the trip to experience some truly unique dumpling dishes. Austria is famous for their Knödel (dumplings), but most of the time they are a rather plain variety called Semmel-knödel,...which usually accompanies a meat and vegetable dish. Here, the Knödel are the main attraction. The Gasthaus offers 15 different dumpling dishes. Many are made with a different meat or sausage, while one is made with mushrooms and another with spinach. You can order a dish with just one flavor or select a mixed plate to sample a wider variety of taste experiences. They even have sweet dessert dumplings too. We were amazed at their unique variety and this was matched by the friendly service and cheerful surroundings."

"We were looking forward to having lunch at Restaurant Pfferfferschiff on the invitation of friends, and the open air environment contributed to our expectations.The beef ordered by two of the party was very unsatisfactory, and my venison order was simply mediocre. The restaurant does not have a cheese trolley, and the waiter carelessly offered to put together a few pieces of cheese among their collection of some 30 different kinds, which I declined.I hope that ours was a single event and good reputation will not lead to deterioration of the restaurant's quality."
