We can across this Keller as most of the town was closed in late February. The host was very welcoming and spoke good English. We had some excellent sharing plates, and one evening a full dinner of Bavaria cuisine, It was good value and very good food. read more.

Traditional restaurant with local food. Kind waiter. The food was ok, my meat was a bit dry but maybe I just made the wrong choice. The Schnitzel of my girlfriend although was really nice. Nice place to have some beers on the big terrace as...well read more.

"I highly recommend this place out of many reasons, the drive up to the restaurant is amazing with stunning views over the Tegernsee plus the Freihaus is an authentic Bavarian restaurant and very beautiful. The food was very tasty and the server was able to...communicate in English, they had English menus available as well. I have been to the Freihaus many times for lunch and dinner and this time was the first time I took my wife and she was very impressed. Food and service was always exceptional. The roasted potatoes, the classic Bavarian dishes including the dessert were super delicious...we will be back for sure!"
