"A true revelation! So I would have to say that I was already in some self-announced restaurants. But this discovery today, with faith and all respect, at the end of the world, has not yet come to me. After the presentation of the raw meat, all drops were already in the mouth, but that was nothing to the result freshly served by the beech wood grill on the wooden board. Both the turkey steak and the pork fillets were grilled to the point, juicy and delicate, with the special tasteful compositions made of supplements and sauces. Bread potatoes neither dry nor floating in fat. I expected a bourgeois cuisine today, but got a taste experience of the special kind. This was absolutely not to be expected in this hidden place. Therefore another great “Chapeau” to the cook! 5 stars are not almost enough thanks."

"We had chosen the restaurant "to the old post" because of the very good reviews and to take it forward: even we (4 people) were absolutely enthusiastic. the chefin was super attentive, fast and very warm. the food was freshly prepared, was absolutely delicious and plentiful; even our hungry men have become tired after the long walk and that wants to be something! we were very satisfied and can recommend the old post unrestricted. even at the cost there was nothing to mecker – ratio price / performance is absolutely right! in the januar we will be back in oberhof and look forward to eating delicious and cozy ambiente. probably we will eat the menu up and down :-). I don't think there's a better recommendation..."

"We had called before when we spontaneously decided to eat there. On the phone was a lady, unfortunately not very friendly. Well, she actually had a last table to offer. Said, done. From the outside, as well as inside, the haeus looks rustic, is also set up accordingly. (In the positive sense. When entering the guest room, our group (3 Erw 3 children, however, was to enter the room from a shut-off band as at the airport and a lady made us shorthand and showed us our table. During our stay, however, the tension broke only something. We felt a little unwilling. But now for dinner. THE WAHNSINN! It was so delicious. We had the table top and the duck with knocks. The flesh slept in the mouth. It was so tender. The meter table sauce was a dream, the blueberries rounded off the taste completely. The portions were plentiful and the price is absolutely appropriate for these delicious dishes. I'd even pay more. From the inn you can walk nicely, possibly with a walk or walk. Great praise to the kitchen, for these also five stars!"
