My wife and I ate there for breaky. The breakfast burrito and the potato and pea croquette with poached egg were both excellent. The coffee is strong yet smooth. Very happy and chilled staff add to the experience. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Ocean Street Diner:
We dropped in for an early lunch while on a detour. The cheese and tomato croissant and ham tomato and cheese toastie were quite nice. Certainly the bread used for the toastie was nice though the tomato seemed less than ripe unfortunately. It's in a great spot though and served a good coffee. View all feedback.
We dinned there with friends and service was friendly and efficient. pleasant place to meet friends and have a cuppa or a meal . Meals are also great.
Had dinner at Ocean Street Diner with my young family. The food was very nice and the service was was very friendly. A little pricey but still pretty reasonable for the quality of the food.
My husband and had several meals here, we had breakfast twice and on both occasions my order was incorrect. As a lover of soft eggs, on both occasions my eggs were rock hard even though I had requested soft ones. The second time I politely started telling the server that I had ordered soft eggs and before I could finish my sentence she ripped the plate off me and stormed off, grumbling.I could deal with the incorrect order but not the disgusting behavior from the waitress who had no manners or social skills whatsoever! I don't mind paying for overpriced breakfasts but when they get it wrong and you have to deal with rudeness, it's just not on. Epic fail.
We had dinner at the Diner and although the menu was limited, all our choices (polenta chips to start followed by Moroccan lamb & Warm duck salad) were scrumptious. And the Argentinean malbec was tasty too! Scotts Head now has two terrific restos, as Taverna 6 has moved from here to Stuart's Pt Road.
We absolutely adored this charming cafe! We visited for breakfast, lunch, and dinner during our 24-hour stay in Scotts Head. The staff, especially a lovely lady who took care of us during lunch and dinner, were extremely welcoming. The food was fantastic and the coffee was delicious. It was a delightful discovery in such a small town.
