Seaweed salad tastes fresh. Shrimp tempura (2 pieces) are fried fresh, maybe because they recently opened, but it’s good. Their edamame, was okay.. salt to taste. Their sushi which comes in 1 pieces each, those are good, although the tuna looks dry. And, it seems it’s been stored long. I DID NOT SEE their EEL anymore, which is why I went. But it’s not in the menu. View all feedback.
What Michael MAC doesn't like about Akita Sushi:
This was my 2nd or 3rd visit for a professional lunch. It took a couple minutes to get seated waiting in front of any empty host station. The waiter was hard of understanding maybe a language barrier but it was just annoying. And for an all you can eat he was not attentive to refill or reorder... and the check was a bit much. The atmosphere was nice but basic. Overall, while it was decent it didn't feel worth it. The... View all feedback.
I had never tried sushi before, so my son, who loves it, took me to this restaurant. I really enjoyed it.
I have probably had the best all-you-can-eat sushi at Akita Sushi in Phoenix. The atmosphere, sushi, and desserts here are better than most places I have tried in Jackson, FL, Bethesda, MD, and Chesapeake, VA.
10/10 for an all you can eat place these people did it right. All you can eat sushi, deserts, and appetizers and they are good. They don't mess around with no weak mid sushi, that sushi comes out fresh, the appetizers come out hot and amazing. If you liketo eat then this is the place for you because they keep the plates coming and you won't want to stop. I know I sound like acommercial right now but this place genuinely impressed me so I felt the need to help them out. They must have some talentedpeople in the back because every plate was delicious and I never felt like it was just frozen and warmed up. A+ would recommend
I have been coming to this restaurant for many years, always had a decent experience. I mean, it’s all you can eat for less than $30. However, I went the other night with a couple friends and our service was terrible and there was only a couple tablesoccupied. I chalked it up to not having enough servers for the night, not a huge deal. Then the food quality comes into play. The sushi just tasted off. I asked if they got their fish from somewhere else than normal and was told it was the usual place. But then even the fried food was tasting weird. We end on an early note trying to play it safe but it was too late. All three ofmy friends were deathly ill with food poisoning. I tried calling the manager to discuss the manner but was weirdly disconnectedevery time I tried to ask for a manager. Disappointed to say the least.
The parking was convenient and hassle-free. When we entered, the host at the podium to the right of us seemed to be waiting for someone else to guide us to our table, which was a minor inconvenience. However, everything else went smoothly. Our food arrived promptly, and our waiter was attentive and answered all of our questions. The food looked and tasted good, with nothing burnt, and since it was sushi, some of it was raw as expected. There was plenty of space at our booth. We will definitely be returning for another delicious meal. The restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat option and recommends smaller servings to avoid wasting food.
