Had the opportunity to eat inside and enjoy the outdoor tent they have. The food is fantastic and has something for everyone with a attentive staff along with a decor that, while cannot stand out, is solid that you do not have at least when you have your order in front of you. View all feedback.
The Italian steakhouse of Puglia is still a fine restaurant in Seaford. You are located on Merrick Road, next to my other local favorites, Cara Mia’s. It is a hard choice between them, but when in the mood for a good steak with one side of the Italian puglia is the place to go. The Italian side of the house has all classics. The Scungilli in a Fra Diavolo Sauce and Chivalini Sausage Wheel are two of my favorite stars, followed by the Chicken Valdastano as the main. During our last visit we were both looking for steak, and besides the large ribbed eye, NY strips and porterhouse, they have several daily specialties. I opened with the seafood salad, which served from a large part of shrimp, scallops, Calamari (very delicate) over Iceberg salad, olives and celery. The dressing was an EVOO and citrus vinaigrette well fed, but not excessive to mask the sensitive seafood flavors. Jo had the Caesar salad, which comes with fresh Romain salad and crispy well decorated crumbles. For the main event we shared the 40 ounces Tomahawk Steak cooked medium size. The steak was a fine, pristine hunk of well tasted meat, which was easily cooked to the rare side, which is exactly as we like it. The grill will cook your steak to your favorite temperature, made from an extremely rare (no raw in the center and well carved on the outside) black and blue to beautiful good as you would find in the upscale restaurant in the city. We have added our steak with cream spinach and sauteed mushrooms. Each side was more than enough for two, and we had a lot to take home. We are often here, and the food is consistently excellent. The staff is amicable and quickly gets to know you so that your opening cocktail arrives before you even ask. For more details and reviews see LIWINEDAD.blogspot.com
I made a reservation here for my husband's birthday, based on some recommendations from friends we have made since the move to Massapequa. We were not disappointed! The service was excellent, everyone was very friendly. The portions were HUGE and we were basically full after our appetizers, so we had wrapped the rest of our Calamari so we had room for dinner. Also, very recommend the rice ball... delicious! We ordered a bottle of Cab-Josh and it paired well with our two dishes. Husband got the Filet Mignon, 10oz, which is bigger than you can find in most restaurants - his only complaint was that it was a little cooked for his pleasure (he usually gets black and blue after his steaks, he rarely ordered and it saw more like medium). I had one of the calf dishes (French hack something, not rename the exact plate name). The size of this veal is enough for 3 meals, I am not even sure that I would have done it if we had no appetizers! Our son has spaghetti and meatballs, no complaints at his end. Knowing that my husband was a birthday, they brought out his dessert with a radio operator and sang. Great experience, will definitely be back!
The Waiter as well as the rest of the staff were amazing, in fact only to be out done by the food. The veal chop came out on a plate that took up a good portion of the table and the chop it self took up most of the plate. Absolutely on point, I can not say enough about my experience here.
