"Honestly, coming here was not planned at all. I ended up at Ototo because all other restaurants in the area were fully booked BUT: it was amazing and I am very happy to have discovered this place. Delicious, fresh sushi, very nice service and great appetizers. Loved it and hopefully will be back soon!"

"We went there for dinner because another one was closed somehow. Anyway it’s on my to try list, so why not. The restaurant is not that big, really cozy. The food is great and I will come back to try the other dishes."

"I was a week ago for a lunch. Ordered Pho and got it really fast, the only problem is that it had a human hear( not mine, as I have a short hair, and that one was long) in it. I have told it to a service and he said sry and remove the hair. That was all! I had to pay for all!!!"

"I am beyond disappointed with this restaurant. I don’t understand the good reviews. I went there for my 5 year anniversary, we barely go to restaurants so we were excited to go to this one as it had such good reviews and a Michelin star. We ordered the menu, costs 90 per person 25 pp with the wagyu option. First off, the a la carte options are so varied and looks like they have maybe nice things. And since we got the menu, we were expecting something nice as well, the chefs choice and all, huge mistake. The first foods arrive and it’s mainly tasteless chunks of cucumber, half a onion, a miso soup that only tasted like chicken stock and the wagyu party, which consists in 1 nigiri with a thin slice of wagyu (was missing salt as they don’t give you soy sauce) and 1 meatball filled with mozzarella (which tasted like normal meat and it was dry- So you pay 25 for those 2 pieces, not worth it). Anyway, this was the first round of food. The next round of food consisted of 1 bowl full of Brussel sprouts, more than 10, and on top some bonito flakes. Just that… just brussel sprouts in our table and nothing else. Ok, after a while they came and took the brussel sprouts in order to bring the next thing on the menu. The next thing on the menu was almost half an EGGPLANT on top of a bunch of rice, and the eggplant was cold. This eggplant dish was very bad and we started to feel bad for paying that much money just to eat VEGETABLES, and not only that, because you can make good vegetables like gyoza and spring rolls, tempura, etc. We couldn’t believe that we wasted that much money to celebrate our 5th anniversary in such a bad restaurant. We asked them to stop our menu right there, they charged us 70 instead of 90, plus the 25 ofc. So in the end we ended up paying 95 per person to eat some very bad vegetables and tasteless food and 2 pieces of wagyu that’s weren’t even good. I don’t know if the a la carte is better, must be because at least you are picking the things you like, but STAY AWAY from the chefs menu. It’s much better to spend that same 95 or 115 getting things on the a la carte. Anyway, I would like to tell the restaurant that they ruined our 5 year anniversary dinner, you make us feel so bad for spending that much money in such a poor experience. Made me very sad to say the least."

"Das Ooki ist immer wieder gut für ein spontanes, japanisches Essen ausserhalb von Sushi und Co. Das Lokal ist klein, Reservation übers Wochenende zu empfehlen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Dem Gast wird ganz unzürcherisch viel Aufmerksamkeit zuteil. Die Essensauswahl ist sehr gut; Fisch, Fleisch und Gemüse ist in verschiedenen Variationen erhältlich. Die Karte ist wie in Japan üblich von hinten nach vorne zu lesen. Das Ambiente ist schlicht in Holz und mit wenig unnötiger Deko gehalten. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist vorbildlich."

"We went as a family my boys and I)and loved the food. The environment was welcoming with a good selection of sushi.I loved the vegetarian mango and avocado sushi as well! So far I have tried sushi at other places , but this was the only place where the veg sushi did not have a fish smell taste. Pricey but well worth it!"
