"We didn't want anything formal so we decided to go here. I really liked it..... They had burgers, I had Cesar salad. The atmosphere was great. There ended up being a concert outside. I really like it"

"We waited almost an hour to order, rather too long I thought. But nice decor, good atmosphere, excellent staff, but a bit understaffed the night we were there. Being South African I just had to order the South African burger and although it was really nice (especially since I was hungry after waiting so long to order) I didn't see what made it South African. A little Mrs Ball's chutney would have done the trick, or some spicy chakalaka. Parking is also problematic, probably best to use public transport. All in all well worth a visit but don't expect an authentic South African burger."

"The Althus Bar has just been renovated so it’s really the NEU Althus Bar. What a superb summer’s evening sitting on the cobbled stones of the old town. Love the concept of serving locally brewed beers and sourcing from local food suppliers. They have wine...too! Great food, great drinks and such friendly service. Got me a membership ask about that!"
