"At first sight, it is the same old brewery restaurant, but it is when you go eat there that you realize how much of a different place this has become.Up to 5 years ago I used to be a regular guest and bring friends and colleagues to enjoy this pleasant place, where nicely prepare comfort food and several different cordon bleus were prepared nicely, consistently good and at a reasonable price.5 years ago I went again after different ownership/management took it over and already saw major differences. Smaller menu and feeble taste (but higher prices).Last Sunday my wife and I decided to try it again, only to be confirmed in our previous judgment.Major disappointment.If you want to have nice cordon bleus, there are many better places nowadays.Only 5 years ago this was THE place for cordon bleus!What a pity."

"Leider ist das Lokal nunmehr für Morgenkaffee / Frühstück weitgehend ungeeignet. Der Grund - im hinteren - grossen - Raum es ist bei fehlendem Sonnenschein (in Zug sind das mindestens 70% aller Tage) so dunkel, dass man nur mit Mühe oder überhaupt nicht die Zeitung lesen kann. Die neuen Besitzer könnten eigentlich die Zeitungsabos kündigen."

"We were seven family members to eat in the Ochsen restaurant and we were very happy with our choice. The waiters were helpful and accommodating. The restaurant was attractive with a view to the beautiful clock tower. Most of us chose the veal fillets with...a mushroom sauce and rösti potatoes for the main course, and the latter were probably the best we have ever tasted! Only one detail was missing. When my husband telephoned to make the booking, he asked if the restaurant had air conditioning. He was told it did but when we arrived it was not on. It was an extremely hot day on July and moderate air conditioning would have been appreciated. Apart from that, everything was perfect."

"I was sooo happy to discover this place! sometimes you get gluten-free pasta in a restaurant, rarely gluten-free pizza (usually too crunchy) - but there on my plate was a gluten-free crêpe with apple-sauce and cinnamon sugar! And really, it was delicious! The atmosphere was friendly and comfortable - next time I will try a gluten-free galette, the dishes on the table next to ours looked so good! Service was very friendly and it gives a special atmosphere to have handicapped people working in normal jobs. Mind the opening hours!"
