"Eldest pub in england with dated proff. beautiful staff, eating was excellent, and each piece of the pub looked like a museum! we loved it there a public walk near for a walk (30 minute or 2h full of birds and wildlife). we have also learned a lot from the beautiful staff available. has tried a new Scottish beingeschirr and a fine ale! we'll be back!"

"We went to the old bell because my daughter used to work with the manager. I had onion soup which was very nice and steak well done, and it was, and sweet potatoes. My daughter and her boyfriend asked for a fry up that was...not on the menu and got it"

"Food was late even though 2 hours notice was given. Quality and quantity of starter was very poor and not as described. We made 2 requests on 2 dishes and both were ignored. Such as shame as previous orders were very good. It’s all well and good them saying “we’ll make it up to you next time “ but that doesn’t make up for the birthday meal that wasn’t up to standard"
