"Well, I'm in love. The store itself is so sweet, the outdoor seating area with all of the plants is just lovely- but oh my goodness, how we've lived in Durham for so long and have just discovered this place seems like a crime. As a vegan, this place was an absolute treat. They had the most wonderful selection of chocolates and my non-vegan husband was just in heaven. Their iced coffee was also pretty perfect. We will absolutely be back!!"

"Wow! We picked up cheese pepper bread, squash croissant, tomato tart, cinnamon bun, salted caramel bun, walnut maple bar....I'm blown away as we are eating them at home in southern VA. I think our favorite is the salted caramel bun. I've had pastries all over as I own a cafe.....this is the best I have had ...ever."

"My only complaints would be overpriced beverages and slow kitchen. Food was great (I had fried catfish over yellow rice and a bean 'ragout ' . Server was nice and the music and atmosphere were nice. UPDATE (YEARS LATER I had fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits and the carvers coffee. Everything 10/10."

"I enjoyed my visit here! I consider myself somewhat of a coffee shop expert, and visit local and unique ones wherever I travel to! The menu selection is not necessarily unique, more your typical run of the mill mochas, iced coffee, coffee etc, but the iced coffee was smooth and delicious, and I bought a bag of beans to take home, and I do recommend their coffee! There was a small pastry selection. Overall, I would say the experience will exceed a Starbucks, and you will enjoy it, but it isnt the most unique or exceptional coffee shop I have visited. They do have an excellent selection of whole beans to buy!"
