"It's passable I don't think I'd come here for food again though. The main draw is the hot stone gimmick, the food is pretty... average. The restaurant itself looks very divey, sticky floors and all. I ordered the cheese hamburg, which is a smaller portion than I was expecting for $17 (not pictured: chopped cabbage salad with mayo). I can't really talk about the food quality considering I cooked the hamburger myself (and the oil splatter is real don't wear a nice shirt if you order this) and the only sides provided were rice and salad."

"While I love the venue+the food, this time the service was lackluster. The hostess especially was cold, unwelcoming+could not have bothered to smile if her life depended upon it. A venerated establishment like Water Grill should know the importance of the front staff. This particular individual set the mood unfortunately low."

"The waitress who served us was super friendly and helpful.The food was great! We tried every yakitori option, including the special chicken fatty heart, and they are all very good. Only area of improvement is the chicken wing was a little burnt.We also ordered the grilled Waugh beef, blue prawn and mushroom. They are all super delicious.Managed to explore 2 new types of Japanese beer and loved them.Finally, the matcha and chocolate soft serve with sesame caramelised walnut was soooooooooo good!"

"Super delicious tacos both vegetarian and meat were incredible. definitiw order the hun (educated). also the puffy taco was quite the best to take on a hard dish taco ever. the michaelada was also delicious. to round it off, they have a beautiful terrace and there was no waiting for a table to lunch brunch on a Saturday."

"My wife and I visit long beach once a year for a mess. we always make our way to dtla to visit bavel. the food, ambiente and customer service is always excellent! last night was not taken. Our Go-to-Menu elements are the oyster mushroom kebab, lamb neck skin and roasted flower cabbage. they are cooked to perfection and are delicious mouthwater! the restaurant offers a many number of seating counters, terrace, high back bar area and standard seats. we love the wine selection that changes regularly and the open kitchen offers a unique atmosphere. the mixologist at the bar is cool to watch as they make handmade drinks. the bar area is our favorite seating area because they can see the kitchen and bar mixologist in action. we highly recommend this restaurant. make sure to visit opentable for reservations as it is super-popies and also on weekdays! the host are friendly and professional and the waiting staff is always amazing. I appreciate the call on the day before to confirm our reservation. Go on!"

"Authentic sushi and sashimi place with good pricing. Bigger portion and better quality with lower price than most other sushi places. Great vibe, too. By the way, Gen in Sushi Gen is read like ghen, not jen. I like this place a lot, but if I were to nit-pick, the 6 dollar parking and the 1 main dish per 1 guest requirement would be the con."
