"We tried this place based on reviews, and it didn’t disappoint. Not much for ambiance, it’s just a standard diner. I ordered a fried fish dinner (they were out of swordfish), and my wife got the garlic steak. We split a small bottle of wine. It took about 30 minutes to get our food. The fish had an excellent batter, and was 2 large pieces, along with boiled potatoes and salad. My wife’s steak was very garlicky (and delicious), and came with salad and French fries. Total bill was €24.75. My credit card wouldn’t work when I went to pay, and worked at another restaurant, so I’m not sure what the problem was. I payed in cash. Just a note, for other Americans used to the “standard” restaurant process of paying at the table, that doesn’t seem to happen here. You simply get up and receive your bill/pay at the counter, instead of your waiter/waitress bringing the bill to you and clearing your plates."

"We, my wife and I, went to the C Bar tonight and were welcomed by a lovely bartender lady. The bar had its own bar menu, but the lady provided us with the restaurant menu to choose from and in addition she recommended food that were not on the menu. We had as a entré clams and garlic bread. The clams were exceptionally good and the garlic bread was served as thin pizzas , but with their distinctive garlic taste. At the recommodation of the the lady of the C Bar we choose beef filé with liquor blackurrant sauce, made in the restaurant. We have not had before so tender and good beef filé. It was served with grilled baked bpotato with bacon and cheese. ItAs a desert, we had crepes with ice cream and chockolade. When we were waiting for the bill, the lady brought us pineapple liquor and blackcurrant liquor. All this was consumed with the house white wine for the entré and for the main dish a lovely red wine from the mainland of Portugal, at the recommodation of the bar tender. It came from her home town. We highly recommodate this restaurant. This is our best gastronomic experience on the island of Terceira for the week we have stayed her."
