I'm going to the Japanese restaurant around town. To be honest, I wouldn't go anywhere else if I wanted to fix my Japanese in the local area. Yes, there are other Japanese restaurants for others, but for locals this is the place. The food is fair, but the quality is definitely there. They serve a lot of food. What User doesn't like about Harumi:
During a visit to Monterey we came across the Japanese restaurant Harumi, we started with the tempura appetizer it was ok nothing special about it, and we ordered the deluxe sashimi and it was excellent. We had 3 reels of white dragons, kamikaze and the Megan reels. Nothing special about them. The rice fell apart, taste was blunt. It wasn't too impressed. In general, I give it 3 stars.
