Came to Seattle for work from Dallas and was missing good Texas brisket. Jack's bbq hit the spot. Good bark, nice smoke ring. Lean was a lil dry and fibrous but nothing I'm not used to getting when ordering lean brisket. The Cole slaw was decent and not overly juicy. Some pepper would have picked it up really nice. The corn pudding cobbler or whatever it was called, so freaking delicious. I was stuffed from the brisk... View all feedback.
What Phil Kelly doesn't like about Jack's Bbq:
Great service. Prices are expected for a BBQ place. Food itself is pretty meh. I've had much better in LA and Texas, which is expected, but even just on its own I think it's mediocre. The sauce is a little too tomato-y. Had the pulled pork and the brisket. Prefer the brisket, it was at least decent. If I really wanted BBQ I'd rather do it myself at home. I'd rather eat somewhere else. The price is too high for the qu... View all feedback.
Sunday was warm, so what better then a motorcycle ride, my wife and some good BBQ. Jack's claims to be Texas bbq, and honestly, I admit I don't know a lot about Texas bbq personally. I do know the brisket was amazing with either sauce I sprayed on the tray, and the fried pickle jar was the best thing I've had in a while.Outside, covered, seating and a great server (with little hands) made for a great experience.

I will be visiting here again, probably several times before I fly back to Texas.
After watching a bunch of Texas barbecue videos on YouTube, I decided to finally try Texas BBQ. Really came for the brisket. We ordered cheese queso with brisket in it, and the brisket was very delicious super juicy, then we ordered our meats, brisket, pulled pork, jalapeño sausages, and chicken (we wanted ribs but they were sold out)The brisket that was in the cheese queso would be a 10/10 then the brisket that we ordered was not juicy at all and very dry, and not flavorful out of the 2 slices we got one was a little more juicy but overall I would give it 5/10The pulled pork was also dry. But the chicken and sausages were pretty tasty. I don’t know if we just came in and got a bad batch of meat but it didn’t feel worth it for what it costs. I’m willing to try Texas bbq somewhere else before I give my hopes up.
Thursday is beef rib day. I think our eyes almost popped out of our heads when they delivered this massive 2lb beef rib! Talk about fall off the bone, smoky, melt in your mouth meaty perfection. Not cheap at $33/lb but definitely big enough to share and a memorable meal! We loved it! And they have a dog friendly patioFood: 5/5
I didn't have a clue that bbq in Washington could compare with what I've had in Atlanta, but DAMN?! Jacks chili is the best I've had. Brisket, pulled pork and spare ribs were flawless seasoned with only salt and pepper! Original sauce is ?! Only minor challenge is that most items have spice, so be prepared!Food: 5/5
