that was the first time that I ever had a good coffee that I drank until this point only at home. I was blown away, how rich the coffee tasted, and how smooth he went down the throat. I usually hurried through coffee, but for the first time I took my time when I was ribbed. this experience inspired me to invest in an espresso manufacturer and a milk broth! they only take-out that was released after I had already bought a drink and breakfast. frustrating because I needed wifi and then had to go somewhere else and buy a second coffee. I did not find one, but two haare baked in my croissant. the Guatemalan cold brewery was good. View all feedback.
I don’t usually write reviews because most places are decent enough. But the reviews for this place don’t reflect the experience I had. The coffee was subpar, they had a good selection of pastries but no oven/toaster to heat them. The only thing going for this place is the location.
This was the first time I 've ever had good coffee I 've only had home drip coffee until this point. I was blown away by how rich the coffee tasted and how smoothly it went down my throat. I usually rush through coffee but for the very first time I took my time as I sipped. This experience inspired me to invest in a espresso maker and a milk frother! I didn 't really know much about coffee and I asked the cashier and he answered all my questions without getting too annoyed either. Very pricey cup of coffee, but that is what you expect when you walk into a shop like this one.
I used to love Milstead so much! Such a lovely space, and great coffee. Now it just feels like they are hoarding prime real estate where an actual coffee shop could open seating again. It makes me sad every time I was past it. This used to be one of my fave places to write! They don’t even have outdoor seating set up (and they have a whole space for it). It doesn’t make sense to me.
The restaurant offers a wide variety of fantastic coffees from several artisan roasters. They serve all the standard espresso-based drinks, such as lattes and Americanos, which are made exceptionally well. They also have a diverse selection of pour over and Aeropress brewed coffees. Sit outside and enjoy your coffee while watching the traffic on 34th Street and catching a glimpse of the canal from a table next to a piece of the Berlin Wall.
I attempted to call the restaurant to inquire about bringing my dog in while I placed my order, but they did not answer their phones. When I received my matcha latte, I was disappointed to find clumps of matcha at the bottom. Despite requesting half lavender syrup and half vanilla, the drink was poorly made with barely any lavender or vanilla syrup. This resulted in a subpar experience, as I ended up paying and tipping for a drink that did not meet my expectations.
