We use to love this restaurant/bar..was my go to with out of town family and friends! Last visit with my husband was BAD. Food was as usual and (not great) decent but the waitress!!!!! As soon as we opened the door and waited the 5 full minutes uncomfortably in the entrance before being acknowledged until she finally walked up and asked for Vax records. I sure don't mind showing that but find another job if you hate people that bad. Say hello, welcome the person to your establishment or close. Won't go back there.
Rosemary popcorn Made To Order! It was delightful and perfectly seasoned. I hate to play the chef card but I really appreciated this touch. I got the chicken sandwich and it was hot and juicy. Fries were very good as well
The food here really surprised me with how good it was. Driving by, I had always assumed it was more of a dive but really it's higher end more gastro pub type food. We had the soup of the day, steak salad, and spicy chicken sandwich. All were very good
This is a hidden gem. It looks like a bar and is loud like a bar, but the food is from heaven. When we walked we were shocked at how small the place was there was something about the friendly the atmosphere that just felt right. The waitress was very friendly also and was very helpful. The menu is small but the choices are interesting. We started with a grilled broccoli that was cooked and seasoned to perfection. My wife had the pan fried Alaskan Cod, which was cooked to perfection. I decided to try the 20 oz prime rib, also cooked perfectly rare. Both dishes had great potatoes, mine was a baked with everything and my wife's were a very fluffy mashed. A glass of Cabernet that went with the meat wonderfully topped of the meal. Then we split a amazingly decadent chocolate lava cake for desert. The price was about $80, but we'll worth it. We weren't rushed and met people on both sides who were very interesting. This place is definitely a keeper. We'll be back......soon!
Never had a bad meal here. The specials are always great and well thought out. Not just a bunch of leftovers that they are trying to make work into something. Jay and the rest of the bar and wait staff are attentive and personable. Glad to be considered a regular here and will continue to recommend to friends and family. Fried chicken and the Mary Ann 's chicken sand are standouts. Do yourself a favor and make a point of stopping in. You won 't be disappointed.
