I really like the coffee here but there is always a huge line of women waiting to get drinks with their dogs. Last time I overheard them talking about the owner’s “huge bulge.” He’s a friendly guy, but I didn’t care to look. It’s all the female customers seem to chat about while they sip their mochas. The frontside grind is a great little place to get coffee. It is next to the Boulevard Park Thriftway, which is accessible via Des Moines Memorial Drive. This is typically where I get my espresso when I need a cup to get me through the afternoon. I'm not sure which coffee source they use, but the discussion is always pleasant and the coffee is always good. For being the only skateboarders in the area, bonus points.
Coffee is great conversations are interesting and the coffee folks are super wonderful. They always are prompt and smiling.
