What Maksimilijonas Kęstė doesn't like about Bella Vita:
This is our go Italian restaurant in the verde Valley area. The early bird specials are delicious and the regular menu has great variety. The food id always consistently well prepared. View all feedback.
Bella Vita has the best Italian food in Sedona. It's delicious over the top. You have high quality servers and we always have wonderful, attentive, service. I recommend the Rigatoni Napoli, my husband loves the chicken parmesan. But no matter what you order, you will not be disappointed. Great wine, too.
Great tasting food. Came here bc had trouble getting a table in town for 4 without a reso. It's a bit out of town but easy to get to. The restaurant is part of a resort. They had a great dinner for 2 special on Thursday that made it more affordable. Solid bread and olive oil to munch on and main courses were great. Portion sizes a bit small and a little pricey.
Entering the restaurant was a bit scary. There were boxes lining the hallway and one of the diners in our group is unsteady on her feet and we had to be very careful of tripping hazards. There seemed to be work being done under the restaurant (a piping issue? and so there was mud and debris not inviting at all. We had made reservations and seated immediately. Our server was personable, patient, and knowledgeable. He made the evening enjoyable. I started with a Caesar salad that I shared with my dining partner. It was delicious; whole anchovies, fresh greens, and not overly dressed. The portion was very satisfying. The chef sent out an amuse bouche shrimp with mango in a cream sauce. It was not good. I had pasta bolognese with fresh pasta. The sauce was flavorful with too much sweetness to it and the pasta was over cooked. The noodles were congealed into a clump, so you couldn 't twirl the pasta, you had to cut and scoop it like a casserole. I couldn 't eat it and was very disappointed. This is a no brainer dish. If this isn 't done correctly then there is definitely a problem in the kitchen. My dining partner had linguine with clam sauce and loved it. We passed on desert. My overall takeaway was the chef and cooks need to get the basics down then expand the menu. Perhaps they need a field trip to taste and learn about proper cooking of fresh pasta?
